Bath Fitter bathtubs, showers, and seamless walls are easy to clean and maintain. Made from acrylic, a non-porous and robust material, it is resistant to mold and mildew and, with minimal upkeep, will not stain or tarnish over time like fiberglass or glazed tubs and showers would. Acrylic does not easily scratch, and you can buff out deep scrapes. Plus, there is no grout to wash and, therefore, no worry about bacteria, germs, and staining.
We’ve got you covered
Bath Fitter has put extensive research into determining the safest cleaners for their tubs and showers. What to use
To clean an acrylic bathtub, shower, and shower wall, a quick wipe down after each use alone makes cleaning and maintenance more straightforward and more effective over time. Use a microfiber, a soft 100% cotton cloth, a sponge that is safe on Teflon surface, or a rubber squeegee to complete this initial step. Next, spray one of the 70 approved household cleaners and then wipe dry. Always thoroughly rinse the cleaning product off the surfaces immediately. They should never remain on the acrylic for any length of time.
What not to use
Please note: Avoid using harsh chemicals like ammonia, solvents like chemical drain cleaners, and disinfectants. Do not harshly scrub or use abrasive materials on the acrylic. The use of these chemicals and cleaning techniques can seriously damage the acrylic and will not be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
Finally, a safe, inexpensive, and simple cleaning solution for an acrylic bathtub and shower is to spray a 50% white vinegar and 50% water solution and wipe!
